Daphne Ekpe is an award-winning Intellectual Property and Technology Specialist, policy advocate, and visionary founder of LetsTalkIPwithDaphne™. With a deep passion for democratizing access to intellectual property rights, Daphne has spent years helping underrepresented entrepreneurs, startups, and creatives across the globe protect and monetize their innovations.
Daphne earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the esteemed University of Ibadan in Nigeria. Subsequently, she pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Intellectual Property and Technology at the American University Washington College of Law. During her time there, she was recognized as a Fellow in the prestigious Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property (PIJIP).
Through LetsTalkIPwithDaphne™, Daphne has led public interest efforts to raise awareness on critical IP issues such as copyright trolling, AI-generated content, and digital asset protection. Her articles and expert appearances on major radio platforms like Lagoon Radio, 88.5 UFM, and Correct FM have made her a sought-after voice in the IP space. Her thought leadership earned her selection to the NextGen@ICANN79 Program, where she contributed to shaping global internet governance policies at the ICANN79 Forum in Puerto Rico.
Daphne's work bridges the gap between traditional IP systems and the realities of the digital age, making her a leading force in transforming the IP landscape for a more equitable and creative future.
